Scholarships

The EEHCR: Epigenetics, Environment, and Health in Costa Rica program is pleased to offer EEHCR Scholarships for the 2025 program. The EEHCR Scholarships ($500/ each) are open to all EEHCR Summer 2025 applicants. Applications are due by 5 pm on January 20, 2025.

Scholarship Details

All application materials are to be submitted to eehcr@gatech.edu. Application materials are to be assembled into one pdf file named as follows:

  • "EEHCR_Scholarship_ApplicantLastName_FirstName”

Recipients will receive a reduction of $500 to be applied to their second installment of the program fee.

EEHCR scholarship application requires:
1. A cover letter explaining why you want to apply for EEHCR scholarship and how the scholarship will benefit your study and advance your career development. (1-   page maximum)
2.      CV (up to 2-page)
3.      Transcript (unofficial GT Transcripts are acceptable)

Cancellation Policy

Students who choose not to participate in the program for any reason (including health emergencies or loss of job in the family) after being accepted into the program will be subject to the following fee schedule to cover expenses paid on their behalf:  

1. Students cancelling on or before February 8, 2025 will lose the $500 deposit already paid.  

2. Students cancelling on or after February 9, 2025 must pay the first installment of the program charge in addition to the $500 deposit already paid. 

3. Students cancelling on or after March 9, 2025 must pay 100% of the program charge.  

Georgia Tech reserves the right to alter or cancel this program due to low enrollment, unavailability of a professor to teach a planned course, or other unforeseen circumstances.  If Georgia Tech cancels the program before departure for reasons within its control, all fees paid by participants will be refunded.  If Georgia Tech cancels the program before departure or while the program is in progress for reasons beyond its control, such as political unrest or danger to participants' safety, only those fees that Georgia Tech is able to have refunded by services providers will be returned to participants.
